Dogon, Mali. Holz, geschnitzt, rotbraun geschlämmt; Eisen. 64,5 x 49,5 cm. Rechts oben und unten mitgeschnitzte Angeln zum Einhängen der Tür. Alters- u. Gebrauchsspuren, teils rissig, zwei Astlöcher, Schlossabdeckung sowie die die Bretter verbindenden Leisten etw. heller. Provenienz: Norddeutsche Privatsammlung. Ein breites und ein schmales Brett (38 cm, 11 cm) verbunden durch zwei kleine, mit schmalen Eisenbändern montierte Holzleisten. Vorderseitig geschnitzte Reliefdarstellungen von Ahnenfiguren sowie dem Kopf wohl eines Tigers.
